Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ground Handler to join our growing operations team in Colombo. In this role you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of cargo, coordinating ramp operations and ensuring full compliance with aviation and port security regulations. You will work closely with our logistics coordinators and airline partners to deliver exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Load, unload and transfer cargo between aircraft, vehicles and storage facilities.
Inspect cargo for damage, discrepancies and proper documentation before and after handling.
Operate ground support equipment including forklifts, belt loaders and cargo tugs.
Coordinate with flight operations, customs and warehouse teams to ensure on-time performance.
Complete all required paperwork, manifests and handling records accurately.
Adhere strictly to health, safety and security protocols at all times.
Report any irregularities, damage or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

Minimum G.C.E. O/L qualification; A/L or diploma in logistics is an advantage.
1 – 3 years of experience in airport ramp or cargo handling operations.
Valid forklift operator licence preferred.
Physically fit and able to work in shift rotations including nights and weekends.
Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
Team player with a strong safety-first mindset.
